Here are a few biographical (art) facts:
Name: Herman van Ankeren
Year of birth: 1961
Started painting in: december 2005 as an autodidact
I took some courses by several painters to develop my paintingskills:
2007: Mark Kok in Schoorl
2008: Karin van Opstelten in Schoorl
2008-2009: Jolanda de Wit in Alkmaar
2009-2010: Pauline Bakker in Bergen
I also paint by order of others. These works you can see on my page ‘opdrachten’. But I would like to mention a few which are very special to me.
‘Rainbow Power’
I painted this for ‘COC Noord-Holland-Noord’. It’s a painting dedicated to all the volunteers for the COC’s in The Netherlands. “Sometimes next to eachother, sometimes in opposite of each other but always together!’
‘Adonis’
I made this painting for Annemieke Bergfeld. She used it for the cover of het debut novel ‘Adonis’.
